Dunes on the Map Located as far West as you can get, Tofino is a small tourist town in a pristine wilderness environment on Vancouver Island. Tofino is home to about 1,500 local residents but also a travelling destination for millions. Bordering the edge of Pacific Rim National Park, this area is absolutely stunning with a coastline riddled with sandy beaches, rocky headlands and temperate rainforest trails to explore. There is an abundant amount of wildlife to see and plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy. Tofino is also part of the Clayoquot Sound Biosphere reserve. Nature really has done an amazing job here. The village of Tofino has lots of funky shops and some intimate and tantalizing restaurants that are sure to please. As we are surrounded by ocean, Tofino also boasts an excellent variety of seafood. A visit to Tofino can be relaxing and exciting and will have you wanting more. The Dunes is located in the Chesterman Beach area and is less than 2 min walking distance from the beach. Getting Here Tofino & Ucluelet are accessed by first reaching Vancouver Island. The most common way to reach Vancouver Island is by car via BC Ferries. Alternatively, significant travel time can be saved by booking a direct flight to Tofino from Vancouver, Victoria or Seattle. Departing from Vancouver - 6 hours
